Air Pollutant Control

The air pollutants produced in the PCB manufacturing process mainly include acid, alkaline waste gas, and volatile organic waste gas. All of them can be treated by high-efficiency air pollution prevention and treatment equipment so that the pollutant content detected by Unimicron over the years is lower than the government’s environmental protection laws and regulations. Due to the use of natural gas to replace diesel fuel in the Luzhu II Plant and QunHong Technology’s Dacheng Plant in Taiwan, the emission of sulfur oxides was effectively reduced by 84% in 2021 compared with 2018. Cause of increase in process lines and raw material types of Taiwan Facilities in 2021, resulting in an increase of volatile organic compounds by 73%. The total air pollution emission intensity per unit of revenue in 2021 was 4.0 kg/million revenue on average, an increase of 38% from the previous year’s revenue.

Description


Drilling, Forming Dust


Pass the air with dust through the filter bag, and the dust is retained in the filter bag, so that the clean air is discharged into the atmosphere to reduce the content of suspended particles in the discharged air.


Acid, Alkaline Waste Gas


Acidic and Alkaline gases are treated with a scrubber, and the air containing acidic and alkaline gases is transported to the tower body by a fan, and the spraying of circulating water is used to fully contact the liquid and gas in the tower body, and transfer the pollutants in the gas to the tower body. On liquid, expel clean air.


VOCs


Volatile organic molecules are adsorbed on the surface of activated carbon to achieve the purpose of removing volatile substances, and the activated carbon is regularly replaced to ensure good removal efficiency.
