Unimicron Won the 2024 “ASSET Sustainability Model Award”-Social Innovation Award

Food and agriculture education is the foundation for agricultural development and the first step in educating Chinese people about food, agriculture, land and even the environment. Unimicron takes food and agriculture education as its idea and combines the company's 3P (care for the earth, respecting people, pursuing performance) culture and corporate social responsibility policies to arouse the public's attention to food and agriculture education and environmental sustainability, so that The idea of a better world becomes the present progressive tense.

The Association of Sustainable Social Enterprise of Taiwan (ASSET), has long been promoting social enterprises and paying attention to social sustainability and development issues. Since 2018, as sustainability issues such as environmental protection, social care and governance have received great attention, the association has held the Social Innovation Award every year to commend companies or institutions that actively solve problems and create value for society. This year, a total of 96 companies were attracted to apply for the competition. After rigorous review and verification, Unimicron also stood out among the participating companies and was awarded the Social Good Group-Social Innovation Award, and received recognition and recognition from national awards!!

This year, the Administrative Services Department participated in this national competition on behalf of the company. The competition theme is "Recycling Bad Ideas, Food, Farming, Playing Education" project, linking the company's ESG policy to the outside world and working together with the nearby Hsing-Fuel Elementary School to invite suppliers to join the project. , this project has three benefits:

• Benefit 1: Waste recycling, food waste is turned into compost and used
• Benefit 2: Respond to food and agriculture regulations, promote and introduce environmental education in schools
• Benefit 3: Help build a campus support system by establishing an economic cycle model

This project combines the model of circular economy and food and agriculture education. The content of the project is very meaningful and is in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) SDGs1 poverty eradication, SDGs3 health and well-being, SDGs4 quality education, SDGs8 work and economy, and SDGs12 consumption and production, etc. Multiple indicators.

Unimicron implements ESG initiatives across fields and collaborates with Hsing-Fuel Elementary School and small farmers in Guishan area on the "Recycling Idea, Farming and Food Education". In addition to realizing the concepts of circular economy and green sustainability, it also hopes to cultivate the knowledge of food and agriculture among schoolchildren.
