Unimicron Large-Scale Stationary Hydrogen Fuel Cell Opening Ceremony

Unimicron held the opening ceremony of the "Large Stationary Hydrogen Fuel Cell" at the Hejiang Factory in the Zhongli Industrial Zone on August 14, 2023. This is Taiwan's first large-scale stationary fuel cell, which creates diversification and independence of Unimicron's energy use, and is on the road toward clean energy and carbon reduction.

In response to Taiwan Net Zero Emissions policy and international carbon reduction trends, Unimicron will invest 4 billion TWD within 5 years, and cooperate with Bloom Energy, the largest fuel cell manufacturer in the United States, to build a total power generation capacity of 10MW with an annual power generation capacity of approximately 78 million kWh and a total of 33 sets of equipment (one set of 300 kW) of large-scale stationary hydrogen fuel cells in 5 years. These fuel cells will be used as a source of all-time, stable and large-capacity industrial based electricity power, and will be a major milestone for Taiwan's hydrogen power development.
