Unimicron Among Sub-Highest Ranked in Corporate Governance Evaluation for three Consecutive Year

The results in the 9th annual Corporate Governance Evaluation conducted by the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) and Taipei Exchange (TPEx) have been announced. A total of 1,662 companies were reviewed in this year’s assessment, with 928 TWSE and 734 TPEx listed firms. With its outstanding performance, Unimicron ranks in the top 6%~20% of the 928 listed companies in Taiwan, ranking 6%~20% in the listed company group for three consecutive years.

Unimicron strives to enhance its corporate governance, such as ensuring the protection of shareholders’ rights and interests, strengthening the structure and operation of its board of directors, increasing information transparency, and promoting sustainable development.

In terms of strengthening the structure and operation of the board of directors, the company regularly conducts self-performance evaluations of the board of directors, functional committees, and individual director members every year, and conducts evaluations every three years by external professional independent organizations or external experts and scholars. In terms of increasing information transparency, the company announced the Chinese and English version of the meeting notice of the shareholder meeting, the precautionary handbook, the annual report and the financial report and other information earlier than the time stipulated by the law. It also releases every important message in both Chinese and English simultaneously, and builds an English company website, including financial, business, and corporate governance-related information to ensure investors' right to obtain information in real time.

In addition, Unimicron has also performed well in promoting sustainable development. In addition to compiling the company's sustainability report in accordance with GRI standards and AA 1000AS V3 TYPE II high assurance level requirements, it also refers to SASB standards and is based on TCFD framework discloses relevant ESG information and has obtained verification from a third-party organization SGS. The sustainability report prepared by the company received “Platinum Award for 2022 Corporate Sustainability Report Awards: IT & IC Manufacturing” in 2022. Both the Chinese and English versions of the sustainability report prepared by the company have been disclosed to the MOPS and the company website, so that investors can clearly understand the company's sustainable development performance. The company’s website also has an investor zone and an ESG zone to facilitate stakeholders to access the company’s latest news and the contents of past sustainability reports.
