Implementation and certification of ISO 50001 energy management system.

In recent years, issues such as global warming/climate change/energy saving and carbon reduction have been widely discussed, and they are also the most severe test facing mankind. Therefore, industries around the world are actively promoting energy conservation actions, developing green energy technologies, and changing energy usage behaviors, hoping to achieve the goal of energy sustainability through effective management of energy usage.

The printed circuit board manufacturing industry is a high-energy-consuming industry. Therefore, Unimicron hopes to improve the relevant standards of energy management through the implementation of the ISO 50001 management system and energy management system technology and specifications; the company invested about 2 million NTD in 2022 , through the guidance of external experts and comprehensive education and training, the construction of the energy management system was completed, and the third-party verification was completed at the end of November.

In 2023, this plan will be implemented to Shanying II Plant, and it will continue to be implemented and introduced to all factories of the group in the future. It is hoped that through the implementation benefits of the management system, we can contribute to energy conservation and carbon reduction.
