ESG OfficeThe event of Unimicron tree planting and environmental education activities
Environmental conservation has always been one of the priorities of Unimicron's development ESG public welfare axis. In March 2022, we and Tse-Xin Organic Agriculture Foundation (hereinafter referred to as Tse-Xin) the Charity Foundation, was held a coastal afforestation event in Houlong, Miaoli. This year Unimicron held an event of tree planting and environmental education activity at Shihmen on April 22, World Earth Day. We invited colleagues and suppliers to plant trees together. Through the experience of tree planting and environmental education activity, everyone can know more about the importance of the environment and reservoirs.
This year, Unimicron adopted a piece of land and 1,000 saplings on the leisure trail next to Dahan Creek in Shimen Reservoir. On the day of the event on April 22nd, led by Timothy Lan, the executive general manager of Unimicron, we, 12 Tse-Xin’s volunteers, 28 supplier volunteer partners from 13 suppliers, and 129 colleagues (including family members), worked together to plant the trees at Shimen Reservoir. Through the event, we can make people pay attention to and understand the environment around their lives and the source of water, so that environmental protection becomes everyone's daily life.
In the future, Unimicron will establish a far-reaching implementation model towards the company's four major ESG public welfare axes "community care, support for the disadvantaged, education injection, and environmental protection" in terms of ESG public welfare investment and development, and fulfill corporate social responsibilities.
