Energy saving and CO2 reduction

There were 87 energy-saving projects implemented in the corporate and saved 18.45 million kwh of electricity, equivalent to 11,531 tons of CO2 emission.

Reduction in water consumption

There were 12 water-saving and wastewater recycling improvement projects implemented in the corporate and saved 421 thousand tons (m3) of water consumption, equivalent to reduce 81 tons of CO2 emission.
Water consumption per unit of product in 2009 compared with 2008 declined 10.9%.

Reduction of pollution emission

100% copper chloride waste liquid recycling
Electrolytic copper recovery equipment installed at Shan-Ying plant, Lu-Chu plant, and Nan-shan plant to recover the cooper and reduced discharge of copper-contained wastewater 266 thousand tons.
Install the sludge reclaim system to transfer the waste sludge into useful resources .
