Looking back the 2008, due to global financial tsunami, Unimicron was greatly impacted and faced harsh challenges.  However, with the relentless efforts from the management team, employees, and suppliers and customers who have offered us great assistance, we are pleased to report the following results:

• Succeed in developing new products and customers —
  --Acquired certifications and became the major supplier to worldwide key customers in Rigid-Flex
  --Qualified and received stable mass production orders from key customers for Flip Chip
• Awarded best supplier by many international customers
• Ranked as the 63rd in the 1000 largest manufacturing companies in Taiwan by Common Wealth Magazine
• Assessed by Digital Tech as the 58th among the 100 best technology companies in Taiwan

Besides exerting itself in business operation, Unimicron had placed more emphasis in human development and social responsibility:

• Passed the certification of “Training Quality Regulations and Assessment” by Labor Committee from Executive Yuan consecutively for two years and won the highest honor, Platinum Award, in 2008.
• Established ES&H committee to plan long term ES&H goals centered with 3P concept (Performance, People and Planet) to ensure business growth and environmental protection.
• Received “National Healthy Working Environment Certificate” from Executive Yuan in Taiwan and “Excellence in Injury Prevention” from local government in China
• Certified with QC08000, The Certification for Hazardous Substances Regulations, and OHSAS18000, Occupational Health and Safety Assurance System
• Recognized by VIP customers as a 「Green Partner」
• Unimicron Kunshan was granted “Jiang-Su Province High Tech Corporate” by Jiang-Su Province Government and Certified with EICC (Electronics Industry Code of Conduct) by ITS.
• Unimicron Shenzhen was awarded the number one in Energy Saving by Shen Zhen City Trading Bureau.

2009 is a challenging year with many uncertainties, yet we will expedite our commitment in---

• Developing technology to improve product mix
• Driving LEAN concept to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the organization and employees
• Performing the duty of a Citizen of Earth and fulfill corporate social responsibility
